ASTRO heartthrob Cha Eun Woo has been confirmed to join Kim Rae Won and Lee Jong Suk for the action film ‘Decibel’.

According to reports from Korean news outlets, the three stars started filming last April 20 for the action-packed movie centered around a terrorist attack on the city.

This will be Cha Eun Woo’s first foray into the action genre since his previous projects like ‘Revenge Note’,’ My ID is Gangnam Beauty’, ‘Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung’ and ‘True Beauty’ were romantic comedies.

He will not have much to worry about because his co-star Kim Rae Won is already experienced in filming an action project with his latest project being the series ‘L.U.C.A: The Beginning’ and the film ‘Prison’.

For his part, Lee Jong Suk, who is currently reviewing several offered for his next drama after completing his mandatory enlistment, previously starred in the dark thriller ‘VIP’ and showcased is action chops in his previous drama ‘W: Two Worlds’.

In ‘Decibel’ Cha Eun Woo will play the role of a sailor who specializes in sonar detection. Meanwhile, Kim Rae Won will play the role of a Navy commander who is tasked with stopping the terror plot on the city while Lee Jong Suk will take on the role of a Navy captain who is fiercely loyal to his crew.

The film will be helmed by ‘Spellbound’ and ‘Monster’ director Hwang In Ho.
