Now that the cat is finally out of the bag, The Amazing Spider-man star Andrew Garfield may have unwittingly delivered another fan service tidbit of information to his fans.

Years ago, it can be recalled that while they were filming The Amazing Spider-man films, he and leading lady Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) also fell in love with each other, making one of Hollywood’s cutest reel to real relationships that was well celebrated by their supporters.

However, in 2015, the couple split up after four years together. During a recent guesting on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Andrew revealed that he and Emma remained good friends after their breakup.

“Emma kept on texting me. She was like, ‘Are you in this new Spider-man  film?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’,” he said. “She was like, ‘Shut up, just tell me’.”

Of course, the Tik Tik Boom star refused to cave to the pressure, and it was only when Emma finally saw the movie, that she confirmed that Andrew, was indeed part of the new Spider-man multiverse along with original Spider-man Tobey Maguire.

Andrew said that Emma’s response was to call him a jerk, but it was all in good natured fun.

I, for one, am glad to see that they remained close despite the breakup. This just solidifies my belief that they are the coolest Spider-man couple. (Tom and Zendaya are the cutest.)
