All in all, I think High School Musical: The Series has a huge potential to be a hit. Its going through the revival of the franchise in the right way. It has a level of self awareness that keeps it from going overboard, and its not setting its sights on surpassing the success of the original. Its merely borrowing some luster from its success to jumpstart the continuation of the franchise in a new platform.

All in all, ToraDora easily climbed up to the list of my favorite shoujo animes because it was cute, light, interesting and truthful, albeit exagerrated on the violence part (It is an anime, after all). I particularly loved the last two episodes on how they closed the journey of the five main characters on a hopeful note. Personally though, I would have chosen a kiss as a final frame for Ryuji and Taiga after all they’ve been through instead of a classic head butt but if you bring a tiger and a dragon together, you have to expect something uncoventional. Two thumbs up for this series. If I had more thumbs, I would raise them all. How’s that for a recommendation?
All in all, Bird Box was a cross between an M. Night Shyamalan and a John Kransinki brainchild. I know you would agree once you’ve seen it. The vibe is too strong it is undeniable. Not too shabby, this thriller, and passing marks all around. I would disagree with anyone who will way that its all just hype though. Bird Box was pretty good on its own. Not the best, but still good.
Liking or hating a particular franchise is a matter of prerogative, I always say. And it seems that Netlfix’s final installment to its Marvel Defenders franchise before it sets out to film the actual Defenders series — “Iron Fist” — has been getting a ton of flak for not living up to the standards set by Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. After seeing the first five episodes (I will update this post when I finish all 13), I do get where some of the critics are coming from but I for one, thought that it was a solid installment to the franchise — not the strongest but it did pull its weight.
